Although fuel transaction data is usually added to FleetWave via the import of a file from a fuel card supplier (see Import Wizard), if you don't use fuel cards for your vehicles and drivers then you may wish to enter this data manually.
Check the video out:
1. Navigate to the Fuel table
2. Click to add a new record
3. Enter the 'Registration Number'
FleetWave will pull through the latest 'Odometer' reading it has for the vehicle, as well as the 'Fuel Type' and the allocated 'Driver Name'.
4. Update the 'Odometer' field if you know a more recent reading
If an odometer reading lower than a previous reading is entered, or the odometer has jumped too far since the last recorded reading, then a pop up message will appear warning you of this fact, and you must correct it before being able to save the record.
5. Enter the date and time of the transaction
FleetWave will lookup the date/time in the Allocations table and update the 'Driver Name' if it finds that a different driver had the vehicle at the time of the transaction.
If no driver was allocated to the vehicle at the time of the transaction a pop up message will appear warning you of this fact - either correct the date, leave the 'Driver Name' field blank or manually select a driver.
6. Enter the 'Amount' and 'Price Per Unit' of the transaction
The 'Cost' field will automatically be calculated.
7. Click
